In 2001, I moved back to the LT community to raise my family, having lived here previously for four years. My husband and I raised our four children here and call the LT community home. For the past eight years, I have run my own law firm, focusing on residential real estate and estate planning. I am currently the only attorney serving on the LT Board.

Doing this well requires a lot of time and hard work. We have to read, process and act on large amounts of information. We attend Board and committee meetings, LT and community events. LT is a large, complex organization, we have to put our diverse backgrounds and skills to work. For instance, as the Board’s only lawyer, I always consider the legal implications of whatever we’re working on. Most of all, I believe in the power of education and its critical importance in keeping our community strong. Over the past two years, I have demonstrated this commitment and I look forward to more.
I am extremely proud of what the Board has accomplished since I’ve joined, and especially our Strategic Plan. I am extremely proud of what the Board has accomplished since I’ve joined, and especially our Strategic Plan. The LT Strategic Plan provides a framework and vision to guide us through the next five years. Developed in partnership with staff, students, board members, parents, community members, and alumni, the plan aims to answer three very important questions; Where are we?, Where do we want to be?, and How do we get from where we are to where we want to be? The plan focuses on five primary areas:
We hold LT and ourselves accountable to achieving the Plan’s goals through scorecards that regularly and rigorously track our progress.
I am also proud of the way our Board has worked together as a group and how we’ve worked with the LT administration. Each one of us has different ideas and perspectives, but we all understand the importance of respectful, civil cooperation. We believe in healthy disagreements and in raising questions openly and transparently. We believe asking hard questions is part of our job, but it’s equally important to support the Board consensus, once a decision is made.
I look forward to continuing the great work we’ve started and helping carry out LT’s Strategic Plan. For the past two years, I’ve tried to make sure the voices of our entire, diverse community were heard and I hope to keep doing that.
